LIGHTBOX Gobo Sheet #7 PhotoShop file or .pdf: blanks to insert your own downloaded pattern. Instructions:
These templates enable you to print out your own 8.5 x 11 acetate pages of ROSCO's gobos.
I have taken a few of the gobos that are out there and scaned them at a high DPI and reduced them to the diameter of the bushing inserts (the little piece of plastic that aligns the fiber at the back of the fixture). If you affix them with plastic cement or crazy glue you can replicate the effect of a real gobo commensurate with whatever beam angle fixture you have chosen.
THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO KEEP THE CIRCLE SIZE OF THE IMAGE
so it really stays within the light coming from the fiber)
AND THE CIRCLE SIZE OF THE BLACK OUTER CIRCLE
(so it will fit on the bushing insert correctly)
AS THEY ARE IN THE FILE.
Beyond that you should be able to make as many patterns as you need, just hole-punch or cut them out with an exacto and glue them on.
Be aware that they have a tendency to fall off if the fiber optic is pushed through too far and the little circle of plastic is difficult to get out of the barrel of the fixture. But the results are amazing; I always get a gasp from directors when they see the pattern relate to the figures so precisely - and then you can run the barrel and really blow them away!
