Syracuse University was the original adaptor of LIGHTBOX, and played a large role in its development. Our head designer, Charles Kirby, received his BFA from Syracuse University, and when he built the first demo LIGHTBOX, he took it to the Head of the Drama Department, Jim Clark. SU lighting design professor Alex Koziara joined the project, and with the help of a Syracuse University Vision Grant, the first full LIGHTBOX was built. This became the "beta test" enviroment for LIGHTBOX, and through the skills and hard work of Alex and his students working in conjunction with Charles and Thematics, this vision became reality.
